I haven't actually seen this yet as I have a severe lack of anything other than a freeview box. However I am downloading it as I speak (thus slowing me now annoyingly).

So please share what you think.

Now that's just getting nasty, just because you can't play the riddle game.

The riddle game (temporarily) defeated me.

Time Gentlemen Please is a pretty decent show. Occasionally venturing into the 'very good', sometimes even into the 'excellent'. But alas, it is also occasionally a little on the 'less good' side. That is my review.

The whole Pub Landlord thing is a bit hit and miss anyway. There's only so many times you can say c**t before it stops becoming funny. Actually that's not true, it'll always been funny.

The Pub Landlord is about so much more than swearing, though. Al Murray is great with a live audience, and produces a caricature of Englishness which is hilarious while not going too far to hit home.

As for Time, Gentleman, Please, I enjoyed some of the episodes but I wouldn't say it was one of my favourites. It does contain a lot of jokes that wear thin fairly quickly.

I know, and I love Al Murray. When I said hit and miss and meant more that everyone hated the Audience with.... thing. However I missed it so cannot really judge. I'll shut up now.

If it was only the Pub Landlord it would have got boring after the first 5 or 6 episodes. However it is not only him is it. Frankly i find it highly ammusing even after several viewings. I prefer the Aussie barmaid to the english barmaid, but then again who doesnt. They are after all "built for bar work" There are plenty of great characters in it as well. All except for that extra with the bean face, who ruins every scene he's in. Where do they get them!?

PS: the TGP dvd is a bit of a rip. Only 6 lousy episodes on it. they could have at least put out series 1. It looks like they never will now, so stuff 'em. I am recoding it on my hard drive off SKY, and will make my own DVD.

I've never even seen it! Richard has always seemed very proud of it though.
