a likely story. and 'predicament' is over-egging it somewhat, which you did to make me think of eggs in the hope that i'd become demonstrably agitated at the thought and provide you with cheap entertainment.

You are, like before, making cynical assumptions regarding my motivation. I now wish to enquire as to what reasoning has led to these cynical assumptions about me.
keir- 08-21-2007
why don't you then
PMike- 08-21-2007
What reasoning has led to you making these cynical assumptions about me?
keir- 08-21-2007
the reasoning is based on the fact that i know from experience how perceptive i am
PMike- 08-21-2007
So from experience you trust that your perceptions lead you correctly?
keir- 08-21-2007
yes
PMike- 08-21-2007
As your experience will have been viewed through your perception, so if you trust your perceptions based upon experience, which you have only through your perceptions, this is a positive feedback cycle. Given that this positive feedback cycle was started by an assumption that your perceptions were correct, the logic is inherently flawed.
You should have reasoning based upon the subject which you are analysing, at least of direct experience of them, otherwise you are relying increasingly on assumptions. Any statement should have all the assumptions made in the logic that deduced it stated alongside it if it is a true attempt to reflect reality.

i didn't assume that my perceptions were correct until they proved to be consistently so

i didn't assume that my perceptions were correct until they proved to be consistently soHow were they proved to be consistently so?
keir- 08-21-2007
double-blind randomized trials

Like a blue flash in the pan.
keir- 08-21-2007
eh?
PMike- 08-21-2007
