i'm pretty sure, that if presented with the opportunity, in the flesh, i wouldn't
but you never know
Pliny The Younger- 10-01-2006
hmmm... I do.
keir- 10-01-2006
ah, but neither of us has ever put our ablity to resist huck's pulling power to the test
we can be confident, but not sure
Pliny The Younger- 10-02-2006
Ah but I can be sure that I won't ever have to put that ability to the test.
keir- 10-02-2006
it's unlikely, but we can't be sure.
Bertrand Russell said that most of the world's problems were down to the fact the intelligent are full of doubt and the stupid are cocksure.
Pliny The Younger- 10-03-2006
Yes but he also dismissed aristotles nicomachean ethics because they weren't popular with the majority of people, which of course they wouldn't be.
keir- 10-03-2006
what a fool.
Pliny The Younger- 10-04-2006
:D See you DO get it
keir- 10-04-2006
different issue though
Pliny The Younger- 10-05-2006
strange how I expected that to discredit him. ok, on a different note, according to bertrand russell "the world's problems were down to the fact the intelligent are full of doubt and the stupid are cocksure" and yet he publishes a book called "A History of Western Philosophy" does that not seem a little cocksure, to only write one book on it? spending only about 12 pages on Socrates, only 9 on Pythagoras and 10 on Heraclitus? What was the man thinking! (as good a book as it is)
keir- 10-05-2006
yes, we're all hypocrites
CressLover- 10-06-2006
Yeah, especially me.
I love Pliny.
