Little Britain
Damn, my subtitle of "for me it's the repetition that makes it funny" was too long. OK, so we all know how much fun it is to slag of the second series, but personally I don't think it was all that bad. Plus I really love the comments I read recently on IMDB that it was too sick. I'm sorry but the whole bitty thing was no where near as sick as the geriaphilia (I may have made that word up).

Am i right in thinking that 'our very own' Mr. Richard Herring is working on the 3rd series? I read he was script editor for it on some Fringe programme/press release or other. And he mentions something about it in a warming up. I don't think the second series was all that bad, i am just sick of idiots quoting it. It's fine if i quote it, i'm allowed to say "yeah a know", but when other people do it annoys me.

Indeed he did say he was script editing it, and I am now desperately searching for where (I found the whole bit about Magnus Magnusson and our humdrum lives) so there is hope. I just hate that I can no longer say yeah I know without having to repeat it in a stupid voice.

Ha ha got the bugger here.

drrickdaglessmd- 06-18-2005

Also in the "Final Press Release" for "Someone Likes Yoghurt" is the following: "In the last year he has been the script editor for the multi-award winning comedy series Little Britain (BBC One)..." If more evidence were needed, on the flyer for the aforementioned show: "He's even the script editor and writer on the third series of Little Britain, for crying out loud."

How about from Thursdays Warming up "There was a reading for a project I am script editing". Of course that isn't conclusive.

drrickdaglessmd- 06-18-2005

That is some nice sleuthing. I think we can safely say we have confirmed what was really not a secret anyway.

ConstantlyBored- 06-18-2005

I pride myself on searching out and finding the obvious.

drrickdaglessmd- 06-18-2005

Now if only we knew the name of his comedy partner... You know the one, the other one from "Lee and Herring".... Hmmmmm

Celticstar- 06-18-2005

i'm really bored of little britain now, i have moved onto monkey trousers and i can't stop quoting it!!! i'm very very sad

Lazlo Woodbine- 06-18-2005

Monkey trousers?

drrickdaglessmd- 06-18-2005

What was "The All-Star Comedy Show". A sketch show by Vic & Bob, performed by numerous fairly famous comic actors. It has its moments, like Bob's charcter, the house salesman chap. "..I don't know."

Lazlo Woodbine- 06-18-2005

How am i missing all these comedy programmes? I'm really letting it slip.

Celticstar- 06-18-2005

yes i love the saleman! very funny! i quote that one the most. i also have changed my moms name in the address book to "friggin nightmare".

I have Monkey Trousers on tape but am yet to watch it. It's the whole ITV thing, although they did have tv burp, bring on the next series.
