joining this discussion a bit late but anyway... yes, Coldplay are horrible. not in my top ten of most hated bands (that's reserved for the likes of Simply Red, M-People, Lighthouse Family, Hard-Fi and Stereophonics) but certainly worth a good kicking.

For once, I agree with you. Though 'Clocks' was in a way appealing. Just like how Jimmy Carr is sort of tolerable on '9 out of 10 Cats'. Yes? No? Ahhh forget it.

Yes. I think they brought home the highest accolade- a gold medal coated in platinum dipped in gold and then soaked in platinum.

Lighthouse Family really marred a period of my life as you couldn't go anywhere without hearing their bland stylings all over the radio. That Simon Webb (from horrific boyband Blue) seems to have made a solo career out of sounding like them which means their legacy continues to haunt me.

i remember at the lighthouse family's peak i felt stifled by the fact that i felt that if i told people i didn't like them i would have the villagers at my castle door with burning pitchforks - kinda like when i wasn't upset by diana's death

I was pissed off because I couldn't watch the morning cartoons. I remember saying somehting like "fair does, she was a famous role model and icon but why can't I watch the Rescue Rangers?"
