Nibblers probably prefer nibbling on some things to others, and there's probably personal preference within nibbler's nibbling nuances, hence I would imagine that some nibblers normally nibble on covers and binding and other nibblers normally nibble on other items.

but for clarification i should point out that i'm pretty confident that the vast majority of nibbles nibble exclusively on items other than covers and binding throughout their lifetime.
